Bone Marrow Donation
Lambda Phi Epsilon strives to spread awareness of Leukemia and other blood related diseases. We work with the National Marrow Donor Program to save lives of those affected. Those afflicted with these diseases require a donor with a similar ethnic background for compatible matches. We aim to register as many donors as possible through the #BeTheMatch campaigns locally set up at each chapter.

The reason for this being our philanthropy goes back to 1995 where a brother of Theta Chapter was diagnosed with Leukemia. The chapter made a large effort to find a compatible donor which became the largest bone marrow drive done in joint with the National Marrow Donor Program with over 2000 people registered. However unfortunately, the match was found after the disease has taken its toll and the brother had passed away. Ever since, Lambda Phi Epsilon has committed this into their Philanthropy.

Here at Virginia Commonwealth University, we hold a yearly philanthropy week to raise funds and awareness for this cause. Our brothers work to become leaders in helping others.

We work with these nonprofit organizations!
